Receiving celebratory cards from The King and The Queen
Congratulatory messages have been sent by The King and The Queen since 1917 to people celebrating special birthdays and wedding anniversaries.
For many people, receiving a congratulatory card is a very special part of their celebrations.
The King and The Queen send congratulatory messages for:
- 60th wedding anniversary (Diamond)
- 65th wedding anniversary (Blue Sapphire)
- 70th wedding anniversary (Platinum), and every year thereafter
- 100th birthdays
- 105th birthdays, and every year thereafter
Their Majesties’ congratulatory messages consist of a card with a personalised message. It is sent in a special envelope and delivered on either:
- the day of the event
- the last day of a week, if the event falls on a weekend
The Lieutenant-Governor and his wife sometimes visit those celebrating their birthday. To arrange a visit, email Sally Burke at GovernorsOffice@gov.je or call +44 (0) 1534 441700.
